Capturing Mathematical Moments - Capturing Mathematical Moments will improve student test scores as well as their overall performance by providing authentic, engaging, hands-on lessons that will provide students the opportunity to absorb and retain mathematical concepts and information.  Technology use is one of the major goals of the District to increase student achievement.  The Electric Light Machine Organization (ELMO) is a document camera that can record and display live images.  A document camera can be compared to 21st century overhead projectors.  However, unlike traditional overhead projectors that use mirrors and light tables, document cameras use a high-resolution video camera for display.  Document cameras also allow you to feed images through multimedia projectors, television sets, or computer screens.  Begin with a basic “overhead projector”, add in the capabilities of a scanner, microscope, whiteboard and computer and you get a document camera.  The ELMO TT02S is a powerful tool that can support the needs of the visual learner.
