Writing Workshop Publishing-Awesome Authors- This project will encourage students to become better writers by exposing them to the writing process.  The project will give students the opportunity to publish their stories in bound leatherette books.  This project spans the entire writing process including story webbing, drafting, editing, illustrating, and finally publishing.  This project will lead students from teacher-directed work to independent work through high interest stories.  It will focus on mechanics and composition of the writing process.  These skills will directly improve student achievement.
