Literacy Academy- The Literacy Academy is designed to facilitate students with reading, decoding, fluency and comprehension.  Teachers will nominate students who they feel need extra help for the Literacy Academy.  During free periods students will come to the library for extra help. Students will listen to the audio versions of required reading, while following along with the text.  Teachers may send worksheets with students or require students to keep daily work reports.  In addition to the teacher nominated selection of students, all students on campus will have access to the Literacy Academy before and after school.  The Library Media Specialist will collaborate with teachers to select appropriate audiobooks in order to facilitate classroom instruction and learning.
