| David Milson, head basketball coach at Cedar Hill High School, reached a major milestone in his career. Coach Milson received his 600 career victory on December 7, 2007 in the Lions Club Tournament by defeating Alvin 71-63. Before the basketball game on December 11th, a special tribute was held to honor Coach Milson. Harry Miller, Principal, spoke about Coach Milson’s dedication. “When I see 600 wins I see something that is not apparent to most observers. I see countless lives that have been changed and impacted in a positive way as a result of Coach Milson’s guidance and wisdom. I see many hours spent at practice, traveling, etc., which requires great sacrifice on the part of Coach Milson and his wife and family. We are truly fortunate to be able to have him as our coach for 21 years in Cedar Hill, as he is a dying breed.” Joining Coach Milson on the court were former players and coaches that have been a part of his program at CHHS. Coach Milson was presented with a banner to be hung in the gym by Superintendent Williams and a framed picture collage from Athletic Director Gina Farmer. Congratulations to David Milson for a successful career and 600 wins! |
