The Longhorns defeated Bowie for the second time 8-7 Friday night under the lights at Bowie Field. The Longhorns were led by Mike Hungaski’s 3-run homerun that easily cleared the centerfield wall. Several Longhorns performed well as the Longhorns pounded out eleven hits on the evening. Devin Patton picked up the win in a great relief effort. Tuesday night the Longhorns fell to Desoto 6-3 at Andrew Porter Field. The Longhorns struggled early in the game and came on late to make it a very interesting game. However, the burst proved to be too little, too late. Nick Haney led the Longhorns at the plate and on the mound. Jon Faulkner also played a big part in the Longhorns’ comeback effort. The Longhorn baseball team will play Lamar Friday night at Andrew Porter Field. The Longhorns, will then, turn around and play Red Oak Saturday at 1, also at Andrew Porter.
