The Varsity Lady Longhorns season ended Monday in the first round of playoffs. The team fell to the District 7-5A first place team, Euless Trinity. The Lady Longhorns were again led in scoring by Skylar Collins with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore Diara Moore added 13 points. Seniors Avery Wilkerson, Shelby Hill, Gwen Green, and Sklyar Collins played excellent basketball in the last game in the Lady Longhorn uniform. Skylar finishes her high school career with 1,195 career points.
The Junior Varsity Lady Longhorns basketball team wrapped up their 07-08 season with a win against Arlington High (51-16) Leading scorers in this game were Senae Dillard with 12 points and Braylah Blakely with 11 points. Every Lady Longhorn scored in this game. Friday the girls beat Sam Houston 36-6. The leading scorer was Deidra James with 11 points. These two wins improve their record to 22-5 overall and 12-2 in District. The Lady Longhorns are AGAIN DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!! Congratulations to these young ladies for a successful season!

The Lady Longhorn 9th grade Basketball Team defeated Arlington High School Monday night. The “A” team won 77 TO 23. Offense players of the game were Amber Williams with 8 points, Erica Bullock with 16 points, and Voche Martin with 23 points. The “A” team finished the season 18 & 8 overall and 9 and 5 in district.
Your varsity Lady Longhorns finished the district season strong with two more wins. They avenged an earlier loss to Arlington Sam Houston last Friday which kept them in the hunt for a playoff spot. Junior Ebony Jones was phenomenal in that game leading in both the scoring and rebounding categories. She finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds, 5 blocks and a steal.
Tuesday was Senior/ Parent Appreciation night for the Lady Longhorns. The seniors crushed Arlington High in their last home game. Senior Skylar Collins led all scorers with 19 points. Seniors Gwen Green, Avery Wilkerson, and Shelby Hill all played well. The Lady Longhorn coaches would like to thank the seniors for four years of hard work, sportsmanship, and fun, and wish them all the best in the future!

Last Friday the Lady Longhorns Freshman A team lost to Desoto 52 to 30. The Ladies played well on the defensive end. On the offensive end the ladies executed their plays well but had trouble finishing some of the shots. The Ladies district record is 6 -5. The B team lost 48 to 15. The Lady Longhorns A team defeated Arlington Lamar on Monday 48-23 bringing their record to 7-5 in district.
The Cedar Hill Lady Longhorns JV Basketball team has won two more games. Friday, they beat the DeSoto Eagles 42-34. They were led in scoring by Braylah Blakely with 10 points. Tuesday night the ladies defeated the Arlington Lamar Vikings 62-11. The ladies were led in scoring by Diedra James with 14, Senae Dillard with 11, and Takedra Morrison with 10. These two wins improve their record to 20-5 overall and 10-2 in District. The Lady Longhorns have only two more game remaining this season. With a win in each of these games, the Lady Longhorns will be REPEAT DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!
The Lady Longhorn Varsity basketball team had an impressive win over Arlington Lamar on Tuesday night. The team was led by Skylar Collins with 20 points. Ebony Jones was the leading rebounder and shot blocker. The win improves the Lady Longhorns’ record to 21-10 and keeps the team in playoff contention. With wins over the next two opponents the Lady Longhorns will finish 4th in one of the toughest districts in the state.
