Congratulation to the swim team on their excellent swims at the Regional Swim meet.

 Girls

Stephanie Bernier qualified for the finals in both the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. She placed 4th in the 100 butterfly and 5th in the 50 freestyle.

Julie Adkerson placed 15th in the 50 freestyle and 16th in the 100 freestyle.

Kathryn Mendenhall placed 15th in the 200 freestyle.

Barbie Bernier placed 14th in the 100 breaststroke and 16th in the 200 IM.

Ashly Aimes placed 15th in the 100 breaststroke.

 The 200 medley relay qualified for the finals, placing 8th overall.

The 200 freestyle relay placed 10th overall.

 Boys

Adam Luna placed 20th in the 50 freestyle and 24th in the 100 backstroke.

 Elias Deleon placed 23rd in the 100 backstroke.

Boys

Justin High: 100 butterfly -- 2nd  Regional qualifier, new school record, 100 breaststroke – 3rd, Regional qualifier, new school record

The swimmers competed very well in the HEB invitational January January 12th.  The girls finished 7th out of 12 teams and the boys finished 6th out of 11 teams.

Individual honors were:

Stephanie Bernier place 1st in both the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly (Stephanie set a new school record in the butterfly)

Justin High placed 1st in the 100 butterfly and 5th in the 100 breaststroke ( Justin set a new school record in the breaststroke)

Barbie Bernier placed 7th in the 200 IM and 5th in the 100 breaststroke.

Kathryn Mendenhall placed 13th in 200 freestyle and 11th in freestyle.

Tyler Shaw placed 12 in the 200 freestyle.

Julie Adkerson placed 11th in the 50 freestyle and 9th in the 100 freestyle.

Chase Broyles placed 12th in the 100 freestyle.

Elias Deleon placed 16th in the 100 backstroke.

Girls relays – 200 Medley Relay placed 4th and 200 Freestyle Relay placed 5th.

Boys relays – 200 Medley Relay placed 8th and 200 Freestyle Relay placed 6th.

Our next contest will be the District meet on January the 25th at Duncanville Natatorium. Start time is 7:00 pm.
